Juneteenth Fund
Juneteenth Mutual Aid for 100 Unhoused People
For the eighth year in a row, we are honoring Juneteenth through direct mutual aid for 100 unhoused people across New York City.
At a time when housing insecurity continues to rise and basic needs remain inaccessible for so many, we believe freedom must mean more than symbolism. It must mean food. Water. Safety. Choice. It must mean being seen and cared for in tangible ways.
Through this effort, we will distribute care kits filled with essential supplies and direct cash support to unhoused community members navigating impossible conditions every day.
For so many people right now, the world feels overwhelming. The problems feel enormous. People keep asking what they can actually do to help in times like these.
One answer is direct action rooted in community care. A tangible way to show up for people in immediate need. And while it may seem small in the face of everything happening around us, a few dollars can mean a meal, clean clothes, basic medicine, water during extreme heat, or simply the feeling that someone still sees your humanity.
Small acts of care change lives every single day.
